Peetron Thomas Praises Unprecedented Unity on National Day of Prayer Amidst Growing National Tensions
In a dramatic display of political and spiritual unity, Prime Minister Honourable Gaston Browne and Opposition Leader Honourable Jamale Pringle joined forces today for a National Day of Prayer in Antigua and Barbuda.
This rare collaboration has been hailed as great hope in a time of increasing national tensions. Peetron Thomas, a prominent humanitarian and beloved singer, took to Facebook to commend the leaders for their groundbreaking show of solidarity. His post captures the essence of this significant event:
“A Moment of Truth!!!!! A Moment of Unity!!!!!!! Today, we witnessed something truly profound. Standing together, the Prime Minister, Honourable Gaston Browne, and the leader of the opposition, Honourable Pringle, showed us that even in our differences, we can unite for a greater cause.
This day of prayer has sparked something powerful, and I believe that real change is on the horizon for our nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Prayer is our greatest weapon, a shield that protects us from the darkness and challenges we face. In the name of Jesus, I come against every dark force, every evil, every hindering spirit.
We command all violence to cease now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Every witch, every warlock, every demon, every spirit trying to devour this country…..we bind you in the name of Jesus! We call on the angels, we call on the power and strength of the God that we serve. With the spirits of our ancestors, we call for unity upon this land.
The God that brought us through slavery. The God that brought us through COVID. The God who will bring us through even these times. In faith and strength, we stand together as one nation under one God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Peetron “
This powerful display of unity comes at a critical time when the nation faces increasing challenges and unrest. The leaders’ joint prayer effort and Thomas’s impassioned commentary reflect a collective call for healing and strength as Antigua and Barbuda navigates these turbulent times.

It was lovely to see and the way it should be. We are all one family. We are one nation. Now we must all close ranks and protect Pringle from the wrath of the man hog, who will not be happy with the photo of the PM and him embracing each other.
Pringle do not learn. DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH GASTON BROWNE.
How Pringle make these people papishow straight?
GOD KNOWS THE HEART. YOU CAN FOOL MAN NOT GOD. HOW CAN A MAN CUSS YOU IN PARLIAMENT, DISRESPECT YOU AND STILL EMBRACED YOU IN PUBLIC. JAH KNOW
Just praying and hoping that this will mark the start of more cooperation and less divisive rhetoric between our people especially when it comes to politics. God cannot be mocked and he will scoff at us if we are not serious about prayerfully uniting and seeking his presence and guidance. Yesterday was a beautiful day and we ought to keep the momentum going.
Dion Pelle. Your comment shows your total lack of the understanding of politics. All of the MPs are friends. They all have lunch together and sit, chat and laugh. Pringle is getting a bundle of work from his friend at Public Works. When they speak in Parliament, it is all an act to satisfy their followers. Why do you think there has been no serious attempt to investigate corruption when government changes.
Many of us claimed Wadadli was never like this and we are now wondering how we get here and what can be done to return our nation to the nation it once was, so we turn to our rulers and we are looking at the two most powerful standing before us.
Let me remind you these are the same people who goes to parliament, introduce, make and amend laws. These are the same people who have this nation in the mess it is in presently and we the people had a front row seat but we sat and enjoy.
Where were the churches all this time? Kids smoking weed all over the place, carnival is a big mess, parents can’t beat their kids no more, teachers are being threatened everyday, when in the past a Head master had the power to stand at that front entrance with a leather making sure you know what time it is, kids now roam our streets doing what ever they please since they know the same government have no place to put them, criminals see 1735 as a hotel paradise so they continue to commit crimes fully aware what the penalty is.
So after years upon years of ignoring God, we have to now come to the these same rulers for a half a day of prayer. Only when you need him it seems like, but he is not an in need God. Do hope there was a prayer asking for forgiveness for not calling upon him all these years.
The picture alone will tell you that Pringle did not embrace no one. He just stood there and the PM as smart that he is knows the photo up will be coming for all to see. And he placed his arm around Pringle. And where were all the UPP elected members. Did they not care about praying for the nation? That much they hare everything Gaston that they will turn their back on God for him. I guess if God will let Gaston into heaven, they would rather go to hell. Well I guess that is exactly where they are going.
Gaston the smartest politician of this time.
Even more importantly, as a nation we called on God. It was great to see all come out and show support – Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord
Hugging this clown is like fraternizing with the enemy. There is just something eerily sinister and inauspicious about this whole photo ops.
Whew! Scary stuff.
Sitting Saturday’s on the Rumshop and rubbishing everyone, then without a word of reparation,a public display of unity? Maybe I’m just a born skeptic, but this is just creepy.
You can’t make this stuff up. Watch your back Pringle.
IMO, the PM was taunting the UPP and its supporters by hugging Mr. Pringle. And Mr. Pringle’s facial expression was clearly one of discomfort. I don’t think Mr Pringle has a problem with having a cordial relationship with the PM but, I don’t believe he cares for it to be widely publicized. I sincerely hope my interpretation is wrong!
Praying for the nation is a good gesture but, will it translate into something that benefits the poor and needy of A&B?
Will the least of these in society become a priority to those who have the power and the state’s resources to change their circumstances; or was this just a FEEL GOOD moment to pacify the masses?
Faith without work is dead!
“The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats is most vulnerable members” — Mahatma Gandhi
Are we so blinded by hate that we can’t put aside party politics to do anything that benefits the country as a whole?
We are so busy fighting ourselves and losing and we are all so filled with hated for anyone that doesn’t support what we want personally.
Mothers and fathers are burying their children and visiting them in jails and we are busy deciding what color to wear…..red or blue.
How about we join the colors together and make purple…..finally a color that can unite ANTIGUA and BARBUDA together………
well if that dickhead Jtruth can learn to stop his stupid cursing and big up Gaston why not Pringle?
