Princess Margaret students seen smoking marijuana near school

31

Two female students from Princess Margaret Secondary School were spotted smoking marijuana in Gambles on their way to classes this morning.

Eyewitnesses said the girls were hiding behind a tree opposite Grays Christian Academy and ignored attempts by passersby to caution them. They reportedly finished smoking before continuing to Princess Margaret Secondary, just a few blocks away.

The incident has sparked concern among residents about drug use by minors and the need for closer monitoring around schools.

  1. Meds students smoke weed…. doctors smoke weed… police .. teachers and attorney’s smoking weed… kids been smoking weed since I was going Pms 2001…. it’s legal now .. so what yall expect??…

  2. The laws aren’t enforced, what do you expect? The curfew, out the window. Bicyclists on the road all hours after dark, no reflectors, lights, brakes or bells being a bloody nuisance to other road users. Police pass them straight.

  3. Wait you guys so want to say you have news you post this….. these should have been my children I would have had a field day with all parties involved. Let me make it very clear I am not condoning the act of these little girls. However what was done here by the media is unacceptable.

  4. I am gonna go to school . But I need to be high . Wanna. Duck behind a trees d get high. Oh dad da da da. I’m so high

  5. Angry parent I have 1 girl she is 16…And if she is caught in PUBLIC smoking and someone posts her PIC that is her business. She was in PUBLIC. not in the PRIVACY of her home. She was wearing HER UNIFORM. What ASSNESSSSS are you talking about now? Clearly they are GROWN WOMEN because only GROWN WOMEN smoke in PUBLIC in plain public view. It is parents like you who end up with DAMAGED children like these.

  6. What hypocrites.. how many OCS has been publicized in the media?
    I never see tou commenting..

Its ok for some schools huh

  7. And remember who opened this “weed led” Pandora’s box?

I’ll give you one easy guess 🥸

I’m so pleased that I don’t pay attention to ABLP politicians anymore. Sadly, many still do …

  8. I hope the ministry of education look into this situation,i bet you that a lot of parents don’t know that their children are smoking weed…

  9. Didn’t we legalize/decriminalize it? Is it written somewhere that they shouldn’t smoke it in their uniform or at their age?

  10. Oh please! When you see them at fetes and parties even at carnival drinking rum… no one is shocked or disturbed 😒

Consider that cannabis literally has healing properties! So much youths suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts – and this is what is helping them!

Go fight down the ones that drinking rum and come school with rum in their stanley bottles before fighting down a conscious youth seeking alternative methods

  11. This sounds like another one of those UPP outrageous tales designed to whip an overly reactionary public. And look! It worked.which leads to the conclusion that Antiguans just dumb nf ( ot friendly?

  12. The law is not enforced, what do expect. Getting high before classes. I wonder what else they are doing at such a young age. Marijuana is a gateway drug, I hope it is not tainted with embalming fluid.

  13. Is there a law that prohibits them from possessing and smoking cannabis? Tha Lawless one opened the gates when he was soliciting votes and couldn’t care less if it remains that way.

  14. I have done many things in my school days. We use to smoke paper now they gone to the hard stuff. Sometimes we need to allow our children to learn from their mistakes

  15. If teenagers feel bold enough to smoke weed in public at that age, it means the home is lacking serious supervision. Parents must wake up before it’s too late

  16. If these girls can ignore adults warning them, it means they were never taught respect at home. This is a parenting failure as much as it is a social one.

  17. This is a total disrespect to the school uniform. I wished Antigua.news saw the faces so we could’ve know the ones who’s doing this. It’s wrong. Our young kids a smoke before, after and during school. This is wrong. Especially in your uniform

  18. I am gonna go to school . But I need to be high . Wanna. Duck behind a trees d get high. Oh dad da da da. I’m so high

  19. This is all hearsay.. how do they know it’s weed, did the passers-by/s help smoked it and founded out it was weed?

How do they know it’s not just a prank or a skit for social media?

Sorry ANR, you shouldn’t just post “hearsay” as news .leave that to other platforms like Facebook and the likes.

You are a reputable news media now, so stay away from the paparazzi types of news/announcements please.

  20. This he/she/shim, Faithful National #1 sounds very much like a Jack/Jenny ass. Are you in love with some man in UPP who did not think you worthy enough and now you want revenge

  21. Brix is there anything that you don’t make political? You just need to get over the fact that whether you/we like it or not, the ABLP is in power and whether you voted for them or not, Antiguans put them there and from the way it looks now, I daresay that they will put them back there again.
