Prime Minister Gonsalves Proposes St. Vincent as ‘LIAT 2020’ Headquarters

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has suggested that the planned regional airline, ‘LIAT 2020’, be headquartered in his country.

Gonsalves revealed a Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) proposal that outlines financing and operation plans for a regional airline, hinting at it being situated in St. Vincent.

Despite no confirmation on whether this airline would be ‘LIAT 2020’, significant stakeholders seem poised for a new aviation entity.

The move follows the challenges faced by LIAT (1974), which recently underwent administration due to financial pressures and pandemic impacts.(Observer)

  1. BADMINDED skirt-chasing Ralph and his sinister ramblings.

Now trying to look like a “saviour” of LIAT….. this is expected from BADMINDED BARBADOS but Ralph tek the cake from man vice Meow Mottley

  2. You too bad mind, you too bad mind Ralph how now you want to come and say this after you didn’t want LIAT 2020?

  3. It is the continued territorial war for LIAT’s headquarters that was helping to stifle the growth of the airline over the years. Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent have secretly or openly voiced their disapproval of having the headquarters remain in Antigua. Just like Caricom they all talk unity when it is convenient but they are really all of self.

  4. GASTON CANT RUN A DARN THING ANTIGUA AIRLING ONLY LASTED FOR 3 MONTHS.
AND WHEN IT COMES TO BEEN BADMINDED GASTON WIN HANDS DOWN.

    • And that is why you should be glad we have a prime minister that is standing up for Antigua against all of them. He is not afraid to walk out of their meeting. That is a man with a strong back bone.
One by one they are now exposed. All they want is to huff up LIAT’s Head Quarters away from Antigua

  5. I have great respect for PM Gonsalves but my advice to him is…if you don’t want to be in the same room with a crazy rubies infect Top Dawg leave this one alone. Nuff said

  6. Dr. Gonsalves is putting Vincentians first like every other government in the WI except this useless ALP government. Antigua for Antiguans!

  7. RALPH GONSALVES made an ARSE out of Jakie Quinn on the radio this morning. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Right off the bat he mek she look small by correcting her with her hyperbolic use of the word “shocking” in her intro.

Jackie Quinn got cut down to size this morning from the Vincy PM 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 She min expect he fu throw Hon. Gaston Browne under the bus, instead he labeled as H-E-R-O-I-C PM Browne and his efforts to keep Liat going

  8. Dr Quinn’s interview with PM Gonsales have vindicated Prime Minister Browne approach to the troubled airline. Mrs Quinn was drowning in a sea of uneasiness .

  9. Jackie get she wak this morning she never thought Mr Gonzales would have call our PM Hero
he done she this mornin on observer

  10. So tell me shy did he is the only one fighting to keep LIAT flying
Not one of them is contributing to LIAT operating expenses presently. Two planes are still operating. But you guys have to spread your daily dosis of lies

  11. And that’s the problem right there. Everybody wants LIAT Headquarters in their country, and because it’s not, they prefer to see it collapse. Antigua Government is trying hard to keep LIAT afloat for us Caribbean people and I respect The Hom. P.M for trying his endeavor best. I pray that proper financial and management aid come sooner rather than later for our beloved LIAT. We use to cuss LIAT before times but in retrospect it was much better than all of the current ones around. I miss LIAT like crazy.
