Prime Minister Gaston Browne Suggests Senate Position for Labour Queen Pageant Winner
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has floated the idea of appointing the winner of the Labour Queen pageant to the Senate, describing it as a way to reward and elevate young women who demonstrate talent and leadership potential.
Speaking on his Browne and Browne programme on Pointe FM, the Prime Minister praised the quality of contestants in the annual pageant, noting that many have gone on to hold prominent roles in society.
“I am of the view that maybe next year we could say to the Labour Queen, the one who wins, that she could be given an opportunity to serve in the Senate,” Browne said. “We need to start to think more progressively and give our young women those kinds of leadership platforms.”
The Labour Queen pageant, a staple of Antigua and Barbuda’s Labour Day celebrations, is traditionally organised by the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP). While it has primarily served as a cultural event, Browne’s proposal would mark a shift in its significance, potentially linking pageant success with formal political leadership.
The Prime Minister added that such a move would not be unprecedented. “We’ve had individuals move from these types of platforms into significant roles in the country. So why not the Senate?”
Browne’s comments appear aimed at both recognising women’s contributions and expanding the pipeline of young leaders into national governance. No formal policy change has yet been announced, but the idea is likely to generate both public interest and political discussion ahead of next year’s pageant.

We do need some women in the senate on both sides of the house

Should a Senate seat really depend on gender? I think it is more of strategy than gender, it has always been.

Some labor party phenetic enjoying a fashion show? What’s the labor party queen shows had to do with nation building, you should instead say they get a full salary from ALP campaign funds for 5 years for doing nothing, because I don’t see they could ever make a contribution to nation building in the Senate but bet only there to praise Gaston wether wrong are right, Gaston really playing to all sector be ause he is in trouble internationally and locally to win Barbuda council election.

I never knew Antigua and Barbuda were both willed to Gaston Browne.I thought they were willed to the Birds. I must admit, I was wrong. That man with the Stache is nothing but a damn dictator.
The so called glam industry which grooms these females and luckily for some of us, a reprieve from having to witness, men transformed into women and outglamming (made up werd; word up) but Transvestites becoming Queens. Damn, they’re already queens because I dare not say Queers, unless I’m willing to get [jumped] by Shenaynay and Crew.
Back to the glam industry! The grooming of girls from as early as toddlers to become a Queen, usually before they give birth, yes exceptions apply, is in many ways not a very healthy industry to work in or thrive in.
In the case, of females of AfricN decent, their thought processes are literally molded to become her unnatural self; from the hair, to the hands, to her breast, to her ass to her legs are basically viewed for their monetary worth versus their spiritual/soulfull worth. This to me, is simply valuing then buying and selling Body Parts (mentally).
Next up, the cosmetics (chemical compounds) used in the process from head to toe is TOXIC (over the years there have being improvements), but the toxicity is still coming from the make up, construction materials such as glue, acrylic, paint for the nails, and the horse hair, reprocessed HUEman hair and plastic hair are causing damage to the largest organ of the body, the skin and in turn others tend to become cancerous as well. It’s evident and is now being widely accepted, that several cancers which females suffer from later on in life are directly linked to the GLAM INDUSTRY.
Instead of pushing someone from this pseudo, yet very profitable business to companies, outside of the Caribbean Region, why don’t Gaston put a FARMER, an ELECTRICIAN, a FISHERMAN, a CARPENTER, a NURSE, a TEACHER, someone who’s the FOOTING, the ANCHOR, the KEIL which SOLID COMMUNITY’S are built upon.
The Prime Minister is mentioning the fact, that due to trade embargoes, sanctions, taxes, etc weapons used in what is termed, the Trade Wars, the CARIBBEAN, and this is so laughable, the CARIBBEAN could be facing FOOD SHORTAGES and other goods, and there is the possibility of STARVATION (it looks like ANR took that article down. I guess STARVATION was to strong a term for the unsuspecting; but, there is some truth in his theory due to poor planning and implementation on the part, of those charged with managing the PEOPLES AFFAIRS.
In times such as these, what does a stiletto, Lycra Hubble, sequinned, plastic glued, possibly siliconed breast and ass 18 – 21, body parts offering and mentally selling them bring to the DECISION MAKING BODY, charged with managing the People’s affairs, in these serious and perilous times for some and many more to come, once the American Slave Cartels gets their way.
That’s correct Gaston, what will such an entity void of many of the qualities needed to manage a Nation being to the table? Now, Less You Forget, not too long ago, you were ranting and raving, that the Opposition UPP Members were lacking in the basic educational academic degrees, therefore, they were not fit to be elected or SELECTED to the Mayhem House aka Parliament. Please make it make sense. You seemed frazzled Mr. PM, and a profiler will look at this and think, that some screws need tightening up or the engine could fall apart for lack of maintenance.
