HURST REPORTS ON CABINET of Wednesday 15 January 2025
ERRATUM:
I make reference to Item 5 of the Report of this day. That item addressed the formation of the Boundaries Commission but did not identify the intended Commissioners. When asked by a reporter to identify the three persons yet to be appointed by the Governor General, I mistakenly identified three Government officials. Those officials are not allowed. The Cabinet had indeed identified three other citizens.
Please accept my apologies for this error.
Amb. Lionel Hurst
Chief of Staff

Did this change come about after Hon. Richard Lewis on his Facebook page pointed out that you can’t put 3 of your Minister comrades on the commission because it was illegal?
You see, Max, it is not all the people in leadership in the UPP busy planning barbecues and trips to Africa and don’t have time for politics. Thought you all could sneak this one in easy like.
So do the right thing. Thank the honourable Richard Lewis for pointing out this “mistake” to you all. And don’t do it again.
Bunch ah………
I am sorry disappoint Richard. These names were nominated months ago and their permission to served received. All that was necessary was to communicate the names to the GG, which Max was instructed to do.
He made a mistake in answering a question that was put to him.
Richard Lewis, the attention seeker, non team player is once again seeking to upstage his superiors in the UPP.
Instead of uniting UPP, he continues to whine and undermine with his and pappyshow.
He may well be un estimating the resolve of the UPP leadership to jettison him.
At this point, considering his current trajectory to lose the seat to Michael Joseph, Richard better be careful about what he is wishing for. It certainly wouldn’t be the Leader of the UPP.
