  1. You cant be saying 25 at funeral and because it is state you have more, it is inconsistent, if you are fighting a deadly virus it should be consistent.

  2. Some wisdom was exercised here. I am not sure where parents of young children will put their preschoolers in order to get to work though.

  3. The permanent secretaries operate in the 18th century. They still have people working 8 hours in some ministries. No thought to assignments, checking in online or even staggered work days or hours. This is crazy and stupid. Being productive does not mean you have to be on the building. In fact there are many workers who burn through work days doing nothing .
Also who will look after all the children now at home with their parents out working,? Look again trouble!

  4. This is the ‘big announcement’ the PM touted on FB on Sunday?
    What a ting!

Dear reader, please be careful and look after yourself & your loved ones.

  5. But gee I thought only certified taxis were supposed to pick up passengers at the airport anyway

They didn’t follow their own protocols for months

  6. Why are churches still open? Online church like the rest of the world. Let’s be real here. We are almost a year into the pandemic, and it’s like it just began in Antigua. Children all over the world are attending school online. The quicker we adjust to our new normal, the better. Get it together.

  7. And the UPP and the Member for Barbuda decline to vote for the continuence of the State of Emergency powers. Had the government not seen the wisdom to do so they would not have been able to pass all these new regulations without going back to parliament.
And yes Mr. Tabor the Pubic Health Act would not cut it either.

  8. By the way I am for a total lockdown like in Barbados and St. Lucia. A section of the public just do not care nd re not adhering to the protocol. School children for one are just not concern. Just look at them at the bus stations. They do not wear their mask to cover their nose. Only their mouth if that much. We need rude awakening in this country.

  9. ’50 special constables to enforce covid regulations’.
Where pray tell will you find 50 people to be special constables who
    a) consistently practice correct mask wearing, distancing & sanitation themselves
    b) will ticket police officers & civil servants & taxi/bus drivers who consistently do NOT practice masking & distancing?
    c) will ticket connected persons who behave recklessly and disregard regulations
    &
How will you find funds to pay them, on time, each month?

    In theory a good idea
Not quite seeing how it will realistically work.
