Vote Michael Freeland for a Better St. George and ABLP Victory

St. George stands at a pivotal crossroads. Our constituency needs a representative who can work with our people to build better communities while ensuring victory for our beloved party in the next general election. That representative is unquestionably Michael Freeland.

Born and raised in Barnes Hill with family connections stretching as far as Potters, Michael is truly a son of St. George. Following in the footsteps of his father, former MP Adolphus Freeland, he brings not only a legacy of political service but also substantial qualifications that make him uniquely suited to represent our community.

A Track Record of Action, Not Just Words

While others simply talk about change, Michael Freeland has already demonstrated his commitment to St. George through concrete action. From revitalizing sports initiatives to personally funding road improvements in neglected areas, Michael has shown that he doesn’t wait for election day to start serving his community. His organization of the St. George Shield Football Cup in Pigotts and construction of practice pitches in New Winthorpes were driven by understanding that community development starts with tangible projects that improve people’s daily lives. Freeland’s track record of community service over the years speaks for itself and demonstrates his capacity to do even more as our representative.

A Vision Crafted by Listening

What truly sets Michael apart is his comprehensive community manifesto—not created in isolation, but developed through months of direct consultation with residents. By knocking on doors and engaging our people in every single corner of St. George, Michael has listened to the concerns, hopes, and aspirations of residents from all walks of life. His “Uniting Communities. Igniting Change.” mantra isn’t just a slogan; it’s a commitment to inclusive development that bridges political divides.

The Right Experience for Effective Leadership

With formal education in political science and international relations, experience with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USAID, and service in the Senate from 2014-2018, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and connections that will serve St. George well. His background negotiating multilateral agreements and managing public works portfolios means he has both the vision and practical skills to transform our community.

A Comprehensive Plan for St. George’s Future

Michael’s development strategy addresses our community’s most pressing needs:

  • Improved roads and affordable housing to enhance our quality of life
  • Modernized sports facilities and community centers to strengthen our social fabric
  • Scholarship programs and internship opportunities to empower our youth
  • Small business support, community markets and job training to boost our local economy
  • Health initiatives, enhanced support for the vulnerable and stronger security measures to keep our families safe
  • Environmental programs that preserve the beauty of our constituency

The Candidate Who Can Win

Perhaps most importantly, Michael Freeland is best positioned to return St. George to the ABLP column in the next general election. His approachable demeanor and genuine connections throughout the constituency—with youth and elderly, men and women, ABLP, UPP and independent—make him a candidate who can appeal across demographic and political lines. The strong support he has earned from constituents of all ages, genders and political backgrounds demonstrates the inclusive leadership that can unite our constituency under the ABLP banner once again.

A Commitment to Accountability

Michael’s pledge to maintain physical presence in the community, stay fully accessible to you, and implement mechanisms for transparency shows his dedication to remaining accountable to constituents. By promising regular town hall meetings, new platforms for engagement, and detailed progress reports, he ensures that his representation will be truly responsive to community needs.

The choice before us in the ABLP Primary is clear. Michael Freeland offers the perfect combination of deep community roots, proven experience, and a comprehensive vision for development that can transform St. George while securing victory for the ABLP.

Let us unite behind Michael Freeland—vote for the candidate who will restore St. George to its rightful place as one of the best constituencies in Antigua and Barbuda while ensuring an ABLP victory in the next general election.

  2. AGAIN! LISTEN ME GOOD:
My fellow comrades. Vote to WIN the next election!

Michael Freeland is best positioned for ABLP victory in St. George. The politics is in his blood. He is the one the UPP and Serpent fear. His campaign and manifesto were the strongest. His interviews and vision shared on radio were the most compelling
Two of the candidates didn’t even release plans in a proper way.
Michael Freeland has demonstrated during this primary that he is ready and able to secure St. George for labour.
So I encourage you to ensure ALL the voters in your house and your group of friends in the community go to Potters Primary today and put their X by Michael Freeland!

  3. The term press release is now being overused, wrongly used and misused.
Is Freeland begging forgiveness for the auction money?
We have not had a press release from.freeland before. Why now?
Has he spoken to and agreed to work with the present parliamentary representative to accomplish his wishes for the constituency?
Previously he wanted to contest the Rural East constituency for the ALP. However the PeeeeeeeeeM burst his bubble to give his wife a leg up. Not that she isn’t accustomed to that. Why is he no longer interested in that constituency?
We hear all laboRATs speaking of gender equality. Why do t the men give way and let the woman be the chosen one?
Labour and Jim Jines are one of the same.

  4. A STRONG message has to be sent to this government in this upcoming by-election. The ABLP has become too complacent, and this vote must be a PROTEST vote.

The complacency will continue unabated and unabashed if we Antiguans keep thinking that Gaston Browne’s ABLP is the best we can do …

If we keep repeatedly engaging in the same voting patterns expecting different results, it’s more likely we’ll get the same dire results from Browne and his negligent cohorts.
