PRESS RELEASE
Prior to the Covid pandemic, the Post-Cabinet Press Briefing was held in the Conference Room of the Office of the Prime Minister. When the pandemic hit, we relocated the briefing to a room at the Parliament Building, which allowed for the various Covid-related protocols.
In more recent times, we have been utilizing an online platform for the briefing; however, this has not proven to be efficient. We have encountered numerous audio and lighting challenges, compounded by the discontinuation of the Skype platform. We have therefore taken the decision to return to in-person briefings, where journalists representing the various media houses will be required to be present in the briefing room.
The briefings will be held at 9am on Thursdays, as is customary, unless otherwise indicated.
The move to revert to this format will be effective Thursday June 26th, 2025 at the Parliament Building.
To ensure a seamless production, we will ask journalists to be seated by 8:50am. In addition, we request that the name of the journalist and their media house be emailed to [email protected] by 8:00am on the day of the briefing to facilitate the completion of the relevant graphics by ABS’ team.
We look forward to this process change and will ensure that there is a smooth transition.

It’s pathetic how we choose our idols. Who the hell is Nikki???? As I opined earlier, Nikki does not realize that the helm right now is the Rt. Hon. Gaston A Browne NOT, with all due respect, the late Hon. Lester Bird who would have long ago SIZED her up, given her the EXPOSURE she obviously craves then sent her back to the cuckoos’ from whence she came. Antiguans and Barbudans have become dumb NF (now fooly?) accepting anything the cats drag in.
Please also make sure the room is properly mic’d and lit this time—if we’re committing to in-person, let’s do it right.
Glad to hear we’re going back to in-person briefings, technical issues have made it hard to follow the updates lately.
What a strange country. Why did VC Bird put schools in every village? It has obviously proven to be a failure with the high percentage of illiterates in this country.
