Police are investigating a report of a possible gunshot fired near a home in Nut Grove late at night.
A resident contacted officers after hearing a loud sound while inside her house. Responding police observed what appeared to be entry and exit holes in plywood on a northern porch, consistent with damage caused by ammunition.
A search of the interior and exterior of the property did not uncover any spent shells or projectiles. Forensic Evidence Recovery Unit (FERU) personnel later processed the scene, and police say inquiries are continuing as residents in the area are interviewed.
