7. The entire carnival display is disgraceful. For a country whose citizens profess to be ‘christians’, and who claim that they were enslaved and stripped of their birthright and culture, the display is vulgar to the extreme. Carnival is supposed to be synonymous with emancipation. How emancipated are you, when you choose to bending down and allowing a man or a woman to twerk on you? What is wrong with our black women especially? Generations of Syrians and white people have grown up here. Share the same culture. I dare you to show me any display of vulgarity on their part. And we wonder why we are least expected to be married. And have multiple children father’s. Every year this display sickens me. I was glad when COVID hampered it for the past two years. Now, where is the 3foot separation? Where is the decency. My god black people, what is wrong with us? Why are we so carnal? Disgusting. And the sad thing is, the young generation is watching.

     The etymology of words is very significant in their meaning and intent!

     Carnival has being morphing into the Festival of Dionysus – the earthly god of wine, drunkardness and orgy coupled with that of BACCHUS, the earthly god of Bacchanal, mayhem.
     This has being happening since, the late 1970’s until present. Many people were not paying attention to the subtle, planted images and styles which were slowly replacing those of Our African Ancestors.
