Police Traffic Announcement – Illegal Parking on Joseph Lane

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, 30 September 2025
The Police Administration is issuing a reminder to motorists concerning the persistent problem of illegal parking along Joseph Lane.
Despite repeated warnings and the installation of traffic signs and road markings prohibiting this unlawful practice, some motorists continue to disregard the regulations. This behavior not only creates obstructions but also severely impedes the free flow of vehicular traffic along the route.
To address this ongoing issue, the police will be conducting increased traffic checks in the area. Any vehicle found parked illegally will be subject to ticketing and immediate towing at the owner’s expense.
The Police Administration appeals to all road users to comply with traffic regulations and cooperate fully with the authorities. These measures are being enforced to ensure safer roadways and smoother traffic movement for everyone.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda thanks the public for its continued cooperation in promoting safety and order on the nation’s streets.

Where is this street?
Parking In Antigua is sick and disgusting all over the island its the same, whether in city or country area and the police keep ignoring it so they are to blame. Drivers have no respect for markings on the road you see it everywhere you go. The traffic department could make so much money daily.
The village of Bolams is a classic case, right at the corner at Aunt Mem’s Supermarket and the road east of the school vehicles block that corner daily, you cannot see to get on the Valley road without advancing far on the main road the police is going to wait until someone is killed before doing anything about it and it is something they see every day, there needs to be no parking lines at those corners. The traffic department is the problem they need to enforce the law
Ok…..so where is Joseph Lane??? No description of the location?
Joseph Lane is that road that branches off lower All Saints Road and goes to the traffic light by the football field (formerly King George).
Thank God this finally came to the notice of the police. It is a predominantly Spanish community and they operate as if it’s a private road. Often, vehicles are double and tripple-parked, leaving a single lane for 2-way traffic.
Thank God somebody woke up the police from their slumber
