
Police say at least four secondary school students were involved in the violent attack on a Princess Margaret School student last Friday.
Investigators have not yet held the alleged attackers and say the process prescribed by the Child Justice Act will be followed since the accused are juveniles.
Police say the attackers all attend one school but have not named the institution.
Investigators say there was an altercation with a 14-year-old Princess Margaret student outside his school last Friday.
The victim sustained serious injuries during the attack which occurred on the eastern side of Hilda Davis drive near the junction with Dickenson Bay Street.
The teenager reportedly sustained lacerations to four fingers on his left hand and one of his fingers is said to be partially severed.
