Police Seize THC By-Products During Search Warrant Operations
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Saturday, 21 February 2026
The police have seized a quantity of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) by-products during two separate search warrant operations.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., on Friday, officers attached to the Narcotics, K-9 Unit, and the Customs Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a premises along Sir George Walter Highway, and seized forty-five (45) packs of THC-infused gummies.
One individual was taken to Police Headquarters for further investigations.
A similar operation was conducted at another premises on Old Parham Road, and eleven (11) packs of THC by-products were discovered and seized.
Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the primary psychoactive compound found in cannabis. Products infused with THC, including edible items such as gummies, can produce mind-altering effects when consumed. These effects may include euphoria, altered perception, impaired memory, reduced concentration, delayed reaction time, anxiety, and, in some cases, paranoia.
The consumption of THC-infused products can also pose health risks, particularly when used irresponsibly or by vulnerable individuals. Potential adverse effects may include increased heart rate, dizziness, nausea, confusion, and impaired judgment. Edible THC products may be especially dangerous because their effects are often delayed, which can lead to overconsumption.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda reminds the public that the possession, distribution, and use of controlled substances without lawful authority remain offences under the laws of Antigua and Barbuda.

The Ministry of Education need a system where all school vendors are approved registered & appropriately tagged . Such vendors must be regularly audited and searched in order to ensure that they are only selling bona-fide foods to students. I am just concerned that such items could very easily be available to kids on and around school compounds.
What happen to the body that was found in old Ottos school? Carry out a real investigation.
GUMMI BEARS!!!!!Bouncing here and there and everywhere!
High adventure that’s beyond compare!
They are the Gummi Bears
This is very concerning. It’s quite sad that some comments here do not see this as real or important news. Let me break this down: children do not eat one sweet if given a pack. You give a child a pack of gummies, and they’ll likely eat all at once. Should this happen with gummies like these, their minds would be blown immediate, possibly never to normalize thereafter. We have wicked adults who mean evil, and parents need to ensure that they protect their children at all cost. Teach your kids not to eat from others.
