LAW ENFORCEMENT SEIZE $138,000 WORTH OF CANNABIS AT AIRPORT
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Wednesday, May 21, 2025
A significant quantity of cannabis valued at approximately $138,000 was seized at the V.C. Bird International Airport.
On Tuesday, officers from the Narcotics Department and Customs officials carried out a joint drug operation at the Airport Cargo Shed, and during the operation, they discovered a cardboard box containing twenty-three (23) vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis. The packages weighed a total of 23 pounds.
The controlled substance was confiscated and transported to Police Headquarters, as further investigations remain ongoing.
Law Enforcement Authorities remain committed to strengthening border security and combating the trafficking of illegal drugs into the country.

Is this bad policing or a cover up? I guess there was no address on the package, if there was it could be false making investigations difficult.
In real country like Canada, not only did they seized the drugs but also the culprits, our authorities here seems to be only interested in the drugs.
And as usual no one will be arrested and charged. They only get charged when they try to smuggle drugs thru Canada
Stop romanticize any drug with high price tag and estimate the magnitude of psychological trauma it can bring, especially cocaine, the amount of broken family that quantity can create
When you tag it with high price you only creating the next aspirant.
