Four people are in police custody assisting the police with their investigations, after a search of their home turned up a modified flare gun and two 9mm rounds of ammunition.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, K-9 and Narcotics Units conducted a search at a house at Briggins on Wednesday, and found the illegal items hidden inside a bedroom.
A mother, along with her two sons and a male friend were arrested and taken into custody.
Further investigations are ongoing into the matter.
