Police Search for Suspect in Attempted Robbery

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, October 7, 2025

The Antigua and Barbuda police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending a male suspect involved in an attempted robbery at a convenience store located at the junction of Temple and New Streets.

Reports indicate that at approximately 9:54 a.m., a lone male entered the establishment armed with what appeared to be a firearm.

The store owner quickly raised an alarm, causing the assailant to flee the scene on foot along New Street.

The suspect is described as being dark in complexion, slimly built, and approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall.

He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, a pair of short blue jeans, a black and red tam, a pair of black rubber slippers with white stripes, and an orange mask covering his face.

He was also carrying a black knapsack.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in identifying or locating this individual to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913, 911, or the nearest police station.

  1. All these little scrawny arse punks coming out the woodwork pretending to be gangsters and robbers, because Cutie failed to put the hammer down on these little rats looking for a piece of cheese.
    If there was any kind of deterrent methods from the authorities in this tiny little island, these little rats would have been scared to come out their house trying to rob people.

    Criminals in Antigua has been emboldened on a level we have never seen in the history of this little town..

    It’s clear that these thugs are not concern one bit about any repercussions, because they know it’s just a 1yr sentence.

    Arm robbery should be a mandatory 15 yrs to life, and you see how fast these fools go and look hard work to do.

  2. The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crimes.

  6. So wait….Every week now is some robbery attempt or gun talk. The police need to step up the patrols in town……….. especially in the mornings when people opening up shop. Glad the store owner was alert
