1. That’s it for Dwayne George? Why would a someone contact you to perform a simple routine action like clearing a package? And, knowing your position, why would you consent to assist this person? You are now the latest ABLP official who now claim to duped. Interestingly non politicians cannot use this as a “get out of lock up” measure. I venture to say neither should Dwayne George

4. Crime will never decrease in this country because the Police Force is criminally biased towards people with a lil power and position.

   For example, if I beg a ride with a friend and we go through a police stop where drugs were found on his person or even the driver door compartment. All occupants of the vehicle will be taken to the police station, charged, then have to go through the courts to prove their innocence. However, Mr. Minister can just state he wasn’t involved and nothing for it.

5. This joker should be relieved of his senatorial position until a thorough investigation is done. We can’t claim to be serious about crimes and drugs and have this overshadowing what if anything should be taken seriously with Gaston’s announcement. If nothing is done the just take his utterances last night as simply tongue in cheek!!!!

7. This is a big joke if it wasn’t so serious. This is the reason people have little faith and confidence in the system. A Senator helping a friend to clear illegal substance through the Postal System and we see nothing wrong with that? This cloud would continue to hang over his head and the Prime Minister must do the right thing and relieve him of his position. The PM must be seen to be acting in the best interest of the country. 19. For such a small package why your friend needed your assistance? Was this your test run and you went to set up the link with your friend and the post office staff? The police should have arrested him also. This friend and company favors things need to stop crime is crime. Let see if the prime minister is going to sweep this under the rug.

22. I am upset reading this. I truly wanted him to succeed because he took a big risk at switching parties, and frankly, he gained points from me to be able to make such a hard decision.

    I am not saying I support his action or not support his action to switch. All I am saying is that I respected his ability to make such a difficult decision, knowing it would be difficult to return to that party if he was not happy with his switch. He would then be excluded by both major parties locally.

    So that was a high risk that he took, and for that, I wanted him to be successful so he is not placed in such a bad situation. I would want that for myself, so I want that for him, Senator George, a Bolans man.

    However, I want to tell you a bit about my life. I use to send a package weekly (a lot of times twice a week) to my mother. She would do pickup mondays and Fridays, inside were bank checks (I now use wire transfers).

    My mother would be at the post office about 2 times a week with her cane and did not need a government official to get my packages. They were flat, obviously paper inside.

    Sometimes, I would surprise her with candies (macaroons, tamarind candy, and guava candy inside in the package. As it was a flat rate package, that anything you can fit inside, you pay one flat rate. So I would occasionally surprise her with candies (only) with the bank checks or one of my cheque books so she is able to write checks and deposit as authorized by me to avoid that wire transfers fees (ha ha ha ha ha).

    My mother would pick up these packages with her walking cane and no government minister assistance. I would be on the phone with her when she got there because I enjoyed hearing her expressions when she saw the cheque’s amount and / or types of candy inside.

    I stopped sending packages, and instead, I wire and just accept the wire transfer fees from my US banks and also local Antiguan banks fees for incoming wires.

    You do not need the help of a minister to clear packages there. I did it weekly for years. Well, I mean, I sent it weekly for years and stopped about 2022/23. I do wires now only.

    The fact that it is being alleged that Rae needed help from the senator, doing a regular thing that was easy to do, will be used as knowledge and intent of what was inside the package, something illegal.

    Please do not think I am accusing both persons, I am only saying what the law reasonably and objectively can accept/interpret from the evidence presented here. I wish this was not so.

    So, needing the senator to get a package would be suspicious to the public. I am not concluding that the senator or Rae is guilty, I promise you I am not. I want to give them this benefit of the doubt.

    But they need to know it will be hard to convince the public, and a court of law that both did not suspect something was wrong with this package based on the over-kill to get to this package.

    Strategically, Mr. George will have to lose his position or to avoid this from happening, one of three things must occur with clear and convincing evidence:

    Rae convinces the public senator George truly did not know and he asked him to come thinking that would make the package not inspected and George was already with him when he decided to go to the post office (If George was there with him). So Rae would have to confess he, Rae, knew what was in the package for the public and court to find him credible.

    OR

    George would have to show the public how angry he is that his friend got him into this situation and immediately throw Rae under the bus for the public to believe he truly did not know and is outraged.

    Thirdly, but harder to convince the public and court based on what already occurred, they must convince the public and court that both parties did not know. I think this one will be near impossible to prove based on how suspicious the actions committed by both parties are to get the package (whether they knew what was inside or not).

    But I do ask the ABLP based on how Mr. George entered into the party, and the isolation he would suffer and horrific economic hardship he could suffer, I am advising you not to quickly release him. Give him the chance to prove he was simply going above and beyond for a constituent/supporter with no knowledge of criminality. I am asking you this because this is a really bad situation he is in. I am asking because I want to show you that everything I have ever said was in good faith for the betterment of the country. I have nothing against this guy but simply believed that supporters who were there with ABLP forever should not have heard, at a time a person from UPP was promoted immediately in ABLP, that ABLP can not help you (a supporter since birth) to implement an endeavor which would assist victims of vicious crimes to bring in millions of US dollars in the country which is a matter of national interest for the country. That was wrong, but this is my opportunity to express to you my actions has always been to encourage you to be fair, smart and strategic.

    Stand by the side of Mr. George until irrefutable or clear and convincing evidence of his guilt is found, if such exist. If none exist, then give him this chance.
