Police Probe Fatal Shooting at Swetes
Police are continuing investigations into a shooting incident at Swetes that resulted in the death of 40-year-old Richard Winfield of Swetes.
It was reported that around 10:30 pm on Friday, 7 February, a lone assailant approached several men on foot at St. Ann Road and fired multiple shots a them.
Two men, including the deceased were transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
Winfield succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:28 pm.
Meanwhile the second victim, a 31-year-old of male of Hatton remain hospitalized, also nursing multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
His injuries are serious; however, not life-threatening.
The police are asking anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the All Saints Police Station at 460-1000 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.

It is with deep sadness to learn that Monk is no longer with us. He was a peaceful man, always ready to lend a helpful hand.
He, at all costs avoid conflicts therefore, his death is senseless.
Antigua’s police services is broken, ineffective and throughly not fit for any purpose. The parties who murdered Monk may never be caught for their wickedness, however karma is a bitch.
Before Monk’s death numerous complaints were made to the All Saints Police station which dates back to 2015: Monk’s House in All Saints was burnt to the ground , and threaths to his life. All incidents were known to the police and the police did nothing.
His house in Swetes was burnt to the ground he was threatened , the issues were reported to the police and they did nothing.
It is disgraceful that we have a police force that is inept, the country is on the brink of anachy and Benjamin has not devised, or implement nothing to restore law and order.
It is high time for Benjamin’s administration to consider the restoration
of hanging. Undoubtedly, those thugs who thinks it is OK to take someone ‘s life and walk free would think again if they knew hanging would be waiting for them.

A very badminded individual that speaks ill of everyone and makes up stories to turn people against one another for his personal gain or to create unnecessary drama.
