
POLICE CONTINUE INVESTIGATIONS INTO DEATH OF PARADISE VIEW WOMAN
The Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Karen Johannsen, late of Paradise View, who succumbed to injuries she sustained during an incident at Dickenson Bay.
Reports indicate that around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2025, police responded to a wounding at Dickenson Bay, where the victim was allegedly struck to the back of the head with a blunt object by an unknown male. She was at the time on a horseback riding tour in the area. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where she was treated for serious head injuries. She was subsequently airlifted to the United States to receive further medical care.
Police have since been informed that Karen Johannsen was pronounced dead at 10:17 p.m. (local time in the United States) on December 26, 2025, by a medical doctor at the University of Wisconsin Hospital.
A male suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations, as inquiries into the matter continue.
The Police Administration expresses condolences to the family and loved ones of Karen Johannsen on her tragic passing.
