Police are investigating a break-in at the Baptist Academy of Antigua after a power washer, valued at EC$1,500, was stolen in the early hours of Wednesday, 9 October.

The school’s alarm system was triggered around 1:19 a.m., alerting a representative who contacted police. Officers arrived at the Radio Range campus to find a tool shed on the southern side of the compound had been tampered with.

Investigators believe the intruder entered through an unsecured door and removed the equipment before fleeing.

CCTV footage captured suspicious activity around the time of the theft, but a search of the area failed to locate the missing item. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department are continuing inquiries.

  1. The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crime.
