Police Operation Thwarts Cocaine Smuggling to Antigua

1

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confiscated more than $73,000 worth of cocaine intended for Antigua and Barbuda.

An elaborate drug trafficking network was exposed in the Northern Division, which utilized legitimate cargo shipments via local courier services to facilitate their regional and international connections.

On October 11, authorities intercepted a package bound for Antigua, which appeared to contain car parts but concealed 363 grams of cocaine.

Commissioner of Police Erla Christopher celebrated the interception as a significant victory against criminal elements and reinforced the commitment to collaborate with local, regional, and international partners to dismantle drug networks and curb associated crime.
