Five police officers have been charged with neglect of duty after an investigation into the escape of accused serial killer Delano Forbes.
The so-called vampire killer escaped on February 12 during a field investigation by police officers.
According to media reports, the Professional Standards Unit who carried out the internal probe, submitted his findings this week.
The next step in the matter is for the officers to be tried for those offences by another senior officer according to reports.
The officers remain on the job pending further investigations.
If they are found to have been culpable of neglect of duty, penalties will range from Reprimand and discharge, demotion in rank and deduction of pay, fines or even dismissal.

Without clues from the police the public is partially blindfolded . It would help if we can know the latest on Forbes appearance . His hair , his clothes , does he still have on the shackles ? Where was he last seen ? Also this information needs to come to the publics attention very quickly in order to be effective.

My uncle Morrison, the latest victim, he lost his life due to those incompetent so called officers. They had a serial killer in their custody, shackled, 5 officers v 1 l man , and he managed to escape ??? Something not adding up there.
As far I am concerned they are jointly responsible with that maniac for my uncle’s death !!!
