Police Officer Karim Warner broke down in tears on Wednesday after Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel found him guilty of discharging a firearm in a public place, stemming from a December 3, 2022 incident near Emerald Cove Resort in Willikies.
Prosecutors said Warner fired 12 rounds at a white Toyota Mark X with two occupants after a confrontation during an attempt to reclaim a leased vehicle. According to the court, the male occupant refused to hand over the car before shots were fired.
Emanuel set sentencing for Friday. Warner will remain on bail until then.

Good to see that Police Officers are held accountable for breaking the very law they should uphold.
YES!!!! Make an example out of him so the rest can know they cant do what they want because of six letters….A Civilian would get the full rath of the law so lets see what sentencing this so called Corpral of Police will receive
He may get a fine. I did not follow this case, and will not comment on the substantive matter but simply say to appeal.
A breach of contract is a civil matter but if there was a reasonable fear, the officer was put in fear of harm, then that is another thing.
I do feel bad about this entire situation. But let me see the evidence before I concur or reject.
“Police Officer Karim Warner broke down in tears on Wednesday…”
WAH HE A CRY FAH? We live and we learn. Take your punishment and do better going forward
Waiting with bated breadth
He and his brother Carl Warner may get to do some brotherly bonding At 1735.
oh wow! Carl a he brother? Wat a ting.
Manny James’s shooter, Khalil’s shooter lock dem up!! Chantel’s abductor and killer hang dem kunt!!
All I know is if he gets a slap on the wrist it will sink the legal system further down the drain of untrustworthiness……He has to get the same punishment as if I fired 12 shots at a car with my legal gun…..HAVE TO!!!!!!
They tried so long to get this man out of the mess he was in but in the end, we all serve the final Judge above!! You whatโs the sweetest part of it all, the wait for the sentencing. Maybe what 3 months predictedโฆ.
The ever famous Martin Luther King Jr. once said in his 1963 โLetter from Birmingham Jailโ, โInjustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhereโ.
When those tasked with upholding the law break it, it affects all of us and shakes public trust. Justice has to apply equally to everyone, no exceptions.
Now that one officer is found guilty of a crime, letโs see what happens in the Khaled Simonโs case. Justice vs Injustice
Take u punishment like a man…
A so we civilians feel um when are you throw we inna jail house….gwarn go meet you fellow men
In sentencing, the magistrate cannot fine him or sentence him about how she feel about the case. She have to follow the sentencing guideline . Am not sure if he entitled to one third deduction since he didn’t plead guilty. If I lease you my vehicle and when the lease is up you refuse to give me my vehicle, you asking for some serious shit. On the other hand, he shouldn’t take the Law in his own hands. We don’t know what happened on that day. Mabe the driver attack him who knows. That’s why journalist should be in the court at all times to report to the public.
Good to see that Police Officers are held accountable for breaking the very law they should uphold.
What evidence again are you talking about?? He did what was wrong, discharging of a firearm in public spaces. He couldโve killed anyone. As a police, he shouldโve gotten his team and do a report and go forward his vehicle. But he expected to no be punished cause thatโs what they do in the force.
I saw observer had โPolice Officer Karim Warner broke down in tears this morning after being found guilty of discharging his firearm in a public placeโ
My biggest question is, WAH HE A CRY FAH? We live and we learn. Take your punishment and do better going forward. As a police officer you shouldโve known better. But then again the force is so corrupt yall know yall get away with all kinds of things
All I know is if he gets a slap on the wrist it will sink the legal system further down the drain of untrustworthiness. He has to get the same punishment as if I fired 12 shots at a car with my legal gun. HAVE TO!!!!!!
He and his nasty brother Karl Warner may get to do some brotherly bonding At 1735.
Manny Jamesโs shooter, Khalilโs shooter lock dem up!! Chantelโs abductor and killer hang dem kunt!! Justice ah justice and that we ah preee
…so what about the punishment for the criminals who stole the car?

This is going to be a test. The sentencing will tell us how serious the system really is about gun crimes.
โฆso what about the punishment for the criminals who stole the car?
Bail until sentencing feels strange though. After being found guilty, shouldnโt he be remanded?
Police officers should be held to a higher standard. If it was a civilian, they wouldโve been jailed a long time ago.
Two years of dragging through the courts and finally a verdict. At least justice is moving, even if itโs slow.
In sentencing, the magistrate cannot fine him or sentence him about how she feel about the case. She have to follow the sentencing guideline. Am not sure if he entitled to one third deduction since he didnโt plead guilty. If I lease you my vehicle and when the lease is up you refuse to give me my vehicle, you asking for some serious shit. On the other hand, he shouldnโt take the Law in his own hands. We donโt know what happened on that day. Maybe the driver attack him who knows. So when it comes to Khaleelโs killer and Mannyโs killerโฆ.. ahhhh, when will they be dealt with like how Mr. Warner is being dealt with?
No sarry dey
IF U MAKE HIM PAY A FINE AND THATS IT……..THEN WHEN A CIVILLIAN HAVE AN ALTERCATION AND DISCHRGES 12 ROUNDS FROM HIS/HER LEGAL FIRE ARM TO STOP A FLEEING VEHICLE THE VERDICT MUST BE THE SAME…..HAVE TO!!!!! HE MUST GET SOME PRISON TIME BECAUSE HE COULD OF SERIOUSLY INJURED OR MURDERED WITH HIS RECKLESS ACT…..
I BEGGING THE SYSTEM DONT TWEAK THE SENTENCING BECAUSE HE’S AN OFFICER AND THEY DONT WANT OFFICERS MORAL TO DROP…F**K DAT!!!! MAKE THEM CRY FOR THEIR COLLEAGUE THEY WILL THINK BEFORE THEY TELL THEMSELVES I WILL GET AWAY WITH IT I’M A POLICE….THAT THOUGHT PROCESS NEEDS TO GET OUT THEIR HEADS!!!
WHAT THE HELL…! OH LAWD: …FIREARMS AMENDMENT ACT -20I7
‘…CUSTODIAL SENTENCE OF 2-YEARS
***
Well, research has shown that ‘…SECTION 11 OF THE PRINCIPAL FIREARMS ACT’
has been ‘…AMENDED,’ thereby ‘…REMOVED THE OPTION OF A FINE.’
***
NOW:
Any person now convicted of an offence of ‘…DISCHARGING A FIREARM,’ in or within 40-YARDS OF A PUBLIC ROAD,’ ‘…WITHOUT THE OPTION OF A FINE, ‘…NOW FACES A CUSTODIAL SENTENCE OF 2-YEARS.’
[Firearms (Amendment-Section 11) Act: New A mendment- Section 8: No. 28 of 2017].
***
SERIOUS JEOPARDY:
LOOKS VERY MUCH LIKE THIS DARN ‘…DISCHARGING FIREARM’ CONVICT’S FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT,’ is in ‘…SERIOUS JEOPARDY.’
***
WHAT THE HELL…!
***
THE ‘…PROBATION OF OFFENDERS ACT,’ MAY STILL BE VISITED BY THE ‘…SENTENCING MAGISTRATE.’
***
WHAT THE HELL…!

So what about the police officer that murdered the spanish girl what is to be done with him.. everyone accountable has to face the justice police so corrupt.
Nobody attacked him. He is one of Wade’d boy who has been out of control and above the law for a long while. I am watching this one closely. Let’s see if the untouchable is still untouchable.
I thought you guys said that police officers never are found guilty. I guess this proves the system works. Innocent till proven guilty.
Not one. Not 2 but a whole 12
Firing 12 shots at an occupied vehicle is excessive force; itโs good to see the justice system acting on this.
