Police Investigate Shooting at Former Bruce’s Night Club

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Saturday, 30 August 2025

The police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the premises of the former Bruce’s Night Club in Hatton around 8:50 p.m. on Friday, 29 August 2025.

A 42-year-old male who resides in one of the apartments reported that he was shot by an unknown assailant.
He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, where he was treated for a single gunshot wound to his right hand.

Medical officials confirmed that the injury is not life-threatening.

The police are appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist them with their investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

  1. Wild, Wild, Wild West- Bruce’s nightclub resident and earlier this week in Bolands Village Police fired wild. Bullet whistling pass group playing dominoes, hitting house and lodged inside. That’s wild!

  2. Antigua is now just a rolling ball of crime and someone has to step in to do something. We are not getting enough from the authorities instead we have police killing the ones they are to serve and protect, while the ones doing the crimes get away freely

  4. Something about that place. What goes on behind those doors? No prostitutues there again so what is so popular about the a club that no longer operates. Remember the last boy who was found there dead with a gunshot wound have not been solved?

  5. This is the second shooting taking place, something very wrong and sinister is taking place on at that property and it’s need proper surveillance and an in-depth investigation by authorities immediately, to get to the bottom of this abnormally, before it becomes worse.

    There was a Homicide which occurred there earlier this year, without anyone being charge or even questioned about the this particular incidence .

    The property seems like it has been abandoned for quite a long time, it would appear, as if someone is hiding out there, while seriously attacking individuals, whom are trespassing there.

    Can’t afford to have criminally minded individual targeting people at their will. The property itself, has an troubling look and feeling, especially during the nights when driving by, while ironically, during the daytime hours, venders can be seen selling at the front of the building..

    The very appearance of this place alone, gives you that uncanny feeling that “Evil” lurks around there, and that something is happening.
    Living at Five Islands allows me to observe this location, at least every day.

    The location needs careful attention by drivers, due to parked vehicles on a constant basis around that corner and the heavy traffic, going back and forth, to the public Dump.its a dangerous place to traverse anytime of the day also. Several accidents has already occurred at this dangerous junction.😈😈😈😈👀

  6. Remember that place was a whore house, that entire compound needs to be exorcized. A whole heap of so-called decent married men used to sneak in there and then go back home to their wives and pretend they are squeaky clean, even some politicians. You think curse easy

  8. The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police solve crime , and it will curtail it also.

  9. Thank you Ariel and Vincent for remembering my brother, who was shot earlier this year at the Former Bruce’s Night Club but unfortunately to this day there still hasn’t been a breakthrough in the case and no one has been charged as yet.
