Police Investigate Fight Among Youths at ABICE
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Thursday, October 9, 2025
The police have launched an investigation into a series of fights that broke out among a group of students at the Antigua and Barbuda Institute of Continuing Education (ABICE) on Wednesday morning.
Reports indicate that around 11:30 a.m., officers on mobile patrol responded to several altercations involving students.
During the disturbance, two students sustained stab wounds and were transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by emergency medical personnel for treatment.
Several other persons were also taken into custody in connection with the incident.
The Police Administration is appealing to students to exercise restraint and seek non-violent methods of resolving conflicts.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda remains committed to ensuring the safety of all educational institutions across the nation.

Our police are certainly being kept busy and working for their pay, but these petty crimes are too much now.
Scrap the Juvenile Act, and give the police the rights to deal with them and charge them as Adults. Parliament change the Law, and scrap that 3 years in prisonment before vigilante justice come in.

Things are so out of control in Antigua that even educational institutions are now like war zones. What a fine pass have we come to, but the excuse makers such as Faithful National #1 and his type neither see nor hear any evil. Evil cannot correct evil

I think they need to have police presence at that school. If that’s what it has come to then that’s what needs to be done
Organize another football tournament and pass out cash apps. This will cool them down for a minute. But first charge the perps appropriately including attempted murder.
Most of them there are hardened criminals in any case
They will only get a few years to buss gun or knife up one another, so why should they take any stock of their actions?
Too much mixed up blood in Antigua..these days you don’t even know who is who when you go there. Same like when you go to NY or Chicago…all the hot blooded lions mixed up together.
