Around 4:35 a.m., officers were alerted after the bank’s security alarm was triggered, prompting security personnel to check the building.
During the inspection, two masked men were seen exiting a southern push-up window, while a third suspect was observed standing outside.
Further examination revealed that the intruders broke a glass window in an apparent attempt to gain access to other areas of the building, but were unsuccessful. Nothing was reported stolen.
The suspects were all dressed in dark clothing with their faces concealed.
Two of the men are estimated to be approximately 5 ft. 9 in. in height, while the third is believed to be about 5 ft. 6 in.
It was further reported that the suspects fled the scene in a white Toyota Vitz motor car.
The police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).

They get a million out? if do I’m so glad the banks deserve it too long now they taken our money.
So they saw them and what?? Where was the lead to pump in them so mommy can come and say they were good boys?
My Ppl, we really really got to pray. I mean not just pray but fervently, effectually and earnestly.
It’s time we stem the battle at the gates b4 we allow it to get inside!!
So, tou arw telling me that the police arrived, saw the guys leaving, saw the car and nobody was arrested? I don’t understand this one here!
@karl Davis it was security who responded not police
But these three lazy dogs will try it again this time they should be put down like worthless dogs.
There are enough work programs this festive season cutting grass..
Hmmmmmm! I pray they don’t get brave and decide to go in during the day with weapons, cause dat should be de en’ a dem. Too blastid lazy. As soon as marnin’ bruck, weed and beer and guiness and all dat shit, and then go bruck people house when dem gone to work! No maiming them, put them to hell 6 feet under. Tiring. No mercy!!!!
Security officers saw them leaving not police.
I can’t believe no one remembers how many times I posted my crime prediction model predicted this. Except I also mentioned it would a horrific shoot out. Again, these crimes that have occurred in the last few years, I would have prevented most of them. Look in your WhatsApp messages and see how many times I posted this in the last years.
Not to worry. GANGSTERS PARADISE is still the safest place in the Cabibbean, just ask Fat Albert, that’s all he’s concerned about and once he is comfortable in his mind that is so, we can talk till we mouth stink
Everyone with a white Vitz just got nervous check your cameras, people
so now they are attempting to rob banks now……hmmmmm
The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crimes.
Bank Security Personnel without equalizer? Incredible! This seems more like having rat guarding cheese. But not to protect life and property. Guess they are trained to just duck and cover. What a ting! The inherited British legacy is. I decree and concur: Give the citizens concealed carry firearm license to stand your ground and help law enforcement officers eliminate the scrounging criminal elements, that is so prevalent in the fabric of the society: as a moral imperative.
Nothing stolen, thank God.
How stupid can people be
ECAB has had security upgrades over the years, but this shows there’s still room to tighten things.
Not surprising! The handwriting has being on the wall for almost three(3) decades, as I saw guns which will kill you on this same Thames Street.
Story to be put into Script…
In 2001, I had returned to Point & Villa.
911 and the World Trade Center was hot.
Peter my cousin, an old school fisherman was short on help, and I took up his offer, to learn the Craft of CHAMIL FISHING.
We would leave for the reefs west, north and south of Fort James, about 11pm at night, if we’d be out to sea for almost 30 plus hours.
I’d go to Miss Baby Baker Shop at the corner of Thames and Church Streets/Newgate Streets…the front of the shop was closed but Jumbee & his Crew were in the back kneading, slapping, thumping, beating that dough. Bread boards sliding the loaves, next to the smoking Cassie or wild tamarind wood…ah boy, wat an aroma.
Anyways, I get to purchase bread and the fixings. Usually, being at sea for that long was a picnic on the ocean for me, especially on dark starlit nights, just rocking in the boat waiting on the net to set and soak and collect from snapper to shark to sting ray.
One night while in the shop, this was again 2001, a young man raised his shirt and showed off his 9mm, and said, “r u see dis yah, r u cyant fuck wid me. Any pussy hole ah get wet!”
He lowered his shirt over the gun. He was known to some of the patrons. Me, I was just in Antigua, taking care of the family business. I saw the signs then. During this same time, from 2001 to 2005, I’d made Antigua my residence of choice. I observed out KULCHA through the lenses of the GHETTO (a state of mind, not a state of being).
I would often have, or attempt to have open dialogue with all that I came in contact with. I’d ride the buses from St. John’s to Old Road to Freetown. I lived in Liberta from 1988 to 1993 ( good day to you Purcell Bird! Maria was out in the stratosphere and Gaston was learning his Craft in the Banking Center).
Sometimes, in life we write our story’s! At others, our #stories are written for us.
I saw what I saw!
I felt what I felt!
It wasn’t an unseen hand writing on the wall.
It is life, being depicted before my being.
Nuff positive vibZ to those who know, the truth to our reality and is spreading truth to power.
CRIME and CRIMINALITY PAYS IN ANTIGUA!
When those charged with management of the public coffers openly admit to blatant corruption, what the fuck you’ll folks who live with blinders on like braying donkey’s and or ostrich with the heads in the sand, being spanked with politicians #bull_BUD!
