Police have confirmed an investigation into a troubling incident involving officers at a local fete.
A widely circulated video on social media shows officers attempting to manage an apparently intoxicated woman.
The footage reveals a police officer forcefully pushing the woman to the ground, causing her to hit her head on a piece of wood.
Commissioner Rodney became aware of the incident through senior officers and then saw the video on social media.

Some police must not work at events because when a person consuming alcohol they need protect and the people that should be the one to protect them ended up abusing them and that behavior is just unacceptable.
When officers are not trained and placed in situation training is needed, they get frustrated and use unreasonable force.
Again, when I say the force is not trained at all and competent people with the advance degree and training in the specific field should be at the helm, you guys think I am saying this in bad faith or want to take away positions from people.

Where is the Police brutality? I see an out of control, half naked drunk woman, obviously refusing to follow instructions. We find excuses for our vulgar, disgraceful behaviour and because it is carnival, it is culture. Not my culture.
The Police could not restrained an intoxicated woman.He pushed her so forcefully,her head hit the curve.Thank God,she did not passed away from that fall after hitting her head.Police needs to be trained to defuse certain situations.He over stepped his authority when he put his hands on her.
To Otto…So lemme ask you something…I work in an office and many times I had work on my desk that makes me jus want to throw it all in the garbage because I am mentally drained…..I know what I was signing up for when I got the job so I knew there would be days of endless brain draining work….The Police knew there would be days of dealing with intoxicated unruly people…Unless the officers life is directly being threatened does he have the right to push down his work potentially badly injuring or killing it????? If Otto thinks that’s is acceptable I guess my supervisor and manager should understand I was frustrated and that’s why I threw the work in the garbage…No excuse here…She was wrong she went out and for Intoxicated and could not control herself but people like her always become work for Police..

Reply to world is a messed up place. This is a completely different situation. I have watched hundreds of hours of a programme called COPS and I have seen the superhuman strength of people under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. We keep complaining that the police are not doing anything about crime but then we find excuses for the guilty. All those complaing about the armed robberies will suddenly begin to complain when the police kill a few of them

OTTO none of us are aware of all the facts of this matter. We do not know what took place before the video that is shown. However, whether the female was drunk or sober, it is incredible to me that supposedly four policeman could not restrain her without so forcefully pushing her to the ground. If she had died as a result someone would be answering a charge of murder.
This is dehumanizing, the way black people deal with their color, had it been a white woman that policeman would have politely tip toe around her yanking and thing to be speaky spoken, as shadow sang poverty is hell, as long as our anti-black government not empowering us to beach front lands as the white people and other greatness, we remain a lowly human being to be kicked up like a dog and tossed to the ground by a so call inspector of police, is this what he wants his subordinates to emulate to climb the ranks? This is how black people are treated in the USA by police like less than human, until we have education and wealth which is land this will be our circumstances, if this was done in the virgin islands that inspector and his family would a come realization of his error after been visited by vigilante of that young lady, puting his hold family life at risk, it’s sad, probably that’s how the police inspector deals with his woman at home. Sad to see he got to the rank of inspector probably by kissing politicians a$$ and carry out political errands, so he don’t have the diplomacy or etiquette to hold that post, I hear he just appear as prosecutor in the court, can you imagine his vindictive dictatorial way, and the amount of people in prison because of him. If the police service commission was not just political appointees, serious action would have become of this so call inspector of police, in st Thomas usvi this inspector of police would have been investigated from high up by a real attorney general and face consequences.
