Acting Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney is condemning the circulation of a photo that was taken of 4-year-old A.J. Johnson moments after she was run over by a bus last week.

The photo showed the child’s father in tears as he clutched the bloodied infant in his arms. The child was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

“There were persons seeing the father holding the child with blood at that early stage. I mean try to put yourself in that person’s shoes”, Rodney told state media adding, “if it was your relative, how would you feel?”

The Acting Commissioner said, “some officers didn’t even know about the incident and that was all out across the globe”.

“As a matter of fact, I can tell you the first message I got came from Europe with the picture”, he added.

Meantime, the mother of 4-year-old, A.J. is struggling to cope without her daughter.

“Lord i need u more than ever only u alone knows wa am goin tru😭😭😭😭am so heart broken😭this world is sooo cold wit out u AJ😪y u had to leave me in all dis pain here #why”, Devene Pamella Thompson said on her Facebook page.

Thompson said her daughter was very friendly and would have conversations with everyone who pass by her home.

“She was very brilliant and intelligent she would have big people conversation”, the mother told state media.

“I leave here 6:00 in the morning and when I reach, I work 8:30, my phone is ringing “come now!”, when I reach, my child was so cold”, she recalled.
