Police Arrest One Man in Connection with Aggravated Robbery
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, January 27,2026
Police have arrested one man who is assisting with investigations into an alleged aggravated robbery that occurred in the Gunthorpes area on Monday, 26 January.
Reports indicate that around 8:00 a.m., two male suspects allegedly entered a business establishment and used a knife to rob the proprietor of a knapsack containing cash and other personal documents.
The suspects reportedly fled the area, and the stolen bag was later recovered.
On Tuesday, 27 January, police executed several search warrants at multiple locations in St. John’s as part of the ongoing investigation.
One man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and taken into custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
