SOURCE: REAL NEWS – One of the two youths allegedly involved in a robbery and shooting incident at St. Joseph’s Academy has been apprehended by the police.

The suspect, believed to be under 20 years old, is currently being questioned by law enforcement. However, the second accomplice remains at large, prompting an intensified search by authorities.

According to reports, on Sunday, June 4, at around 6:13 p.m., Shane Anthony, the school’s maintenance supervisor from Yorks Village, was confronted by two masked gunmen while he was on duty.

The incident took place on the school’s Stapleton Lane compound, where Anthony was repairing a pipe west of the main building.

Upon spotting the intruders armed with flare guns, Anthony questioned their presence on the compound. Allegedly, they responded by stating their intention to shoot him and demanding to know the location of the money.

Anthony complied and led the assailants between the main building and the principal’s office, where he handed over his wallet containing $120.

As the perpetrators approached him, Anthony attempted to defend himself by knocking away their hands holding the flare guns.

Unfortunately, a single shot was fired, striking him in the face. Anthony sustained abrasions on his left earlobe and below the ear.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived at the scene, providing immediate treatment to Anthony before transporting him to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

Despite his injuries, Anthony has reportedly returned to work. The entire incident was captured on CCTV footage.

Initial police searches for the two suspects proved unsuccessful.

  1. “location of the money”?…really?….I would venture to say this is the first time these individuals have been on a school compound.

  2. Name and picture please. Other victims may be able to recognize and link him to their experience. Shane my friend, glad you are safe.
