On Independence day the
Sun shines brightly in our beloved
Antigua and Barbuda today and
Freedom’s song we’ll sing and dance
And our flag waves high in the blue sky and
We’ll sing happy Independence day
with all our might
And we’ll stop and pray for our loved ones on this very special Independence day and we hold them in our hearts and love and miss them every single day and
The stories are told of our heroes brave
And strong and they fought for our
Freedom and there lives they gave
For our beloved Antigua and Barbuda
And Independent strong and free
A land of peace and love for you and me
And fireworks will dance in the evening sky
Painting the darkness as they twinkle by
And Antigua and Barbuda is deep in
