Prime Minister Gaston Browne says the government plans to hold a series of town hall meetings as part of efforts to improve public engagement and communication with citizens.
Speaking on Pointe FM’s Browne and Browne programme, Browne made reference to the meetings while addressing criticism of government policies and the need for direct dialogue with the public.
“We will be doing a series of town halls,” Browne said, indicating that the sessions are intended to give residents an opportunity to hear directly from the government and raise concerns.
He did not provide specific dates, locations or a timetable for the meetings, but framed the initiative as part of a broader approach to public outreach.

Browne said open engagement remains important as the government advances major policy initiatives and development projects.
Further details on the town hall meetings are expected to be announced at a later date.

Engagement is not a political meeting for the Government politicians to pat themselves on the back.
Engagement meetings are to inform the public, and for the public to be given adequate opportunity to express themselves.
This is BS unless the engagement meeting are adequately planned and the public is given the time that allows them to attend.
This is BS unless the people responsible for day to day operations are not present to address questions and concerns of the public.
This is BS unless there is a mechanism for the public to evaluate the promises made by Government operatives.
Why now? And if ah so it go, he’ll allow the public to engage with him about matters he seems to avoid. For example, the country’s rising gun crimes and crime rates; and asking him questions about the ongoing vehicle procurement acquisitions scandal.
I for one, look forward to more Town Hall public meeting engagements. I cannot wait!
Please Prime Minister don’t change your mind.
I beg of you please 🙏🏾
