Prime Minister Gaston Browne says his administration plans to move into what he describes as a “renaissance” phase of national development if it secures another term in office.
Speaking during an ABS interview, Browne said the country has already advanced through what he previously called the “next level” of development and is now poised for a new stage of growth.
“Our next term in office, should we get one, and it looks very probable, we’re now moving from next level to renaissance,” Browne said.
He argued that the government has built out much of the country’s socioeconomic infrastructure and is now focused on completing remaining gaps and expanding high-end developments.
“In the next, I’d say, three to five years maximum, you will see it literally mushroom,” he said, referring to projected growth in luxury properties, restaurants and supporting infrastructure.
Browne linked the vision to continued economic stability and infrastructure improvements, saying momentum must be maintained to sustain progress.
While not formally launching a campaign, the prime minister used the interview to outline what he described as the next phase of Antigua and Barbuda’s transformation.

RALLYING CALL #6
When Gaston Browne goes on his propaganda media outlet, the one-sided and myopic ABS News as he arrogantly bawls:
“Our next term in office, should we get one, and it looks probable…”
PROBABLE!!!
Fellow Antiguans who wants a sea change in how we are govern, will understand that the forthcoming by-election in St Phillip’s North, is not only about the two candidates Alex Browne and Randy Baltimore of UPP and the ABLP respectively; but has now become a vote for the “soul of our country”.
I keep abreast of international politics as well.
And in the UK a few days ago, the Labour Party LOST a by-election in s “safe” seat that they had held for almost 100 years.
This unlikely and unprecedented UK result bodes well for the confidence of the UPP, those of us living in Antigua, and especially those constituents who are going to vote in the SPN by-election on the 16th of March; because the ABLP can lose this constituency seat they have held for 50 years.
So there’s hope for a glorious upset!
THE SOUL OF THE COUNTRY IS IN YOUR HANDS
