The government has started disbursing the final tranche of back pay owed to public-sector employees under the 2018–2023 wage agreement, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Gaston Browne said.

The Treasury is handling the third retroactive payout under the contract, with payments to serving employees expected to be wrapped up within 48 hours. Workers who have since left the public service, including retirees, are due to receive their balances by the end of the week.

Browne said the disbursements span the full range of government employment categories, from established and non-established staff to weekly and monthly paid workers. He added that with the previous negotiating cycle now closed, the administration intends to keep compensation current going forward.

  1. Such a biblical name for such a cynical ass! If the CBI “soon becomes a thing of the past” I guess that your outsider baxide would not be affected. Try imagining scenarios of when Trump and his thieving, racist, evil, bullies become a thing of the past!
Keeping hope alive. Some of us still believe in God!
