PM Says COP Would Have Been an Excellent Opportunity for Pringle to Network

Prime Minister Gaston Browne suggested that Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle missed a valuable chance to network on the world stage, noting during the Browne and Browne show that the COP30 environment in Belém, Brazil, would have been an “excellent opportunity” for him.

The comment came during a light exchange after the programme reviewed Antigua and Barbuda’s participation in the global climate summit.

As the hosts questioned whether Pringle would have been able to navigate the diplomatic setting, Browne said the event offered significant potential for political engagement.

“I think it would have been an excellent opportunity,” Browne said.

When the hosts asked whether Pringle could have effectively networked among international leaders, Browne responded that he would have made an introduction.

“I would have introduced him,” he said.

He added that if the roles were reversed and he were invited by an opposing administration to attend a major global forum, he would not hesitate to go.

“If it was reverse, and I was actually invited by the Prime Minister’s lead opposition, I would have gone and I would have introduced myself as the incoming Prime Minister, accompanied by the outgoing Prime Minister,” Browne said.

The exchange followed Browne’s broader discussion on climate diplomacy, including his engagements with global leaders and his call for stronger action to support vulnerable states facing climate-related displacement.

  1. Pringle was scared that the international press would have interviewed him and he fully well knows that HE TOO DUNCE to respond.

  2. Thank God Pringle didn’t attend. Pringle is too DUNCE to fit into these situations. I never heard Him talk on any issues such as CLIMATE CHANGE or any issues affecting Antigua or Internationally. He talk stupidness such as scandal. He and his company are EMBROILED in VEHICLE GATE.

UPP should send Their P.R.O convicted CHILD MOLESTER IAN ( MAGIC ) HUGHES. I am disappointed with DAVE LESTER PAYNE to have MAGIC HUGHES on His show weekly to discuss UPP BUSINESS.

What a shame on UPP with such a P.R.O.

    CHUPTZ. CHUPTZ.

  3. SIDS, Antigua, would’ve been even better. There’s not going to be any distraction from the massive vehicle fraud that has been happening for many years under the lawless ALP.

    • Didn’t u seen that PISS POOR TURNOUT at yesterday’s FLOPPAcade put on by the desperate, incompetent, illiterate UPP?

  4. Yeah right, Pringle would have given you credibility, because for you Gaston name around the place taking one million USD for Barbuda rebuilding efforts after hurricane Irma through global bank that never reach the barbudans with the donors frothing at the mouth to see such wickedness leaving the people in tents up to this year 2025.
Pringle was to create a public image of you as honest and credible for environment donors to give you cash that will mysteriously disappear in you offshore account that no one knows of.
