Those two field hospitals are part of the payout for what they owe us from the WTO ruling. Knowing who the PM is, I am sure he was not happy because he expected to get the US $1.2 million hard cash in his hand. America will never give us any hard cash especially under the ABLP administration. Mr. PM, here is a question for you: Can you maintain those two fields hospitals and the pieces of equipment (if any)? A hospital cannot be sitting here without proper maintenance it will deteriorate. I hope the PM has asked the American Government to help us with the maintenance of these two field hospitals because in a matter of time they will be ruined or used for something else. Mr. PM is the man with the plan for Antigua and Barbuda. The PM was the minister of planning under the Lester Bird administration for years. I guess his plan was to, borrow the state out of debt, bankrupt Antigua and Barbuda, and get enrich himself. I still waiting for the economic powerhouse.
Cheap so…what if he did no give..?
Wait…2 tents and we’re sold?
Antigua is reported not to have a lot of covid cases and death. The US is providing a lot of vaccines. Do they know what is in store for Antiguans in the future? Hope they are going to provide the medical personnel to operate the field hospitals. The government has an unused covid hospital they can’t staff.
Our relationship with the US in finally being normalized with the Biden administration now that (THANKS BE TO GOD) the Trumpers are out of office. As a member nation of the Non-aligned Movement our policy is one of friendship with all, and enemies of none. That is why we can have decent, mutually respectful relations with countries like the United States, China, Canada, Cuba, England, Venezuela, Kenya, India etc. etc.
