    a threat encourages violence and causes harm by placing person (s) in fear or apprehension. It serves no benefits according to the law and for that, can be criminalized. It is not protected speech.

    Threats also can be reasonably construed as an encouragement, incitement, requesting, demanding and supporting of a criminal act to be committed (this is unlawful) which could be a solicitation or conspiracy (you solicit the criminal act and the answer who answers your called agreed, causing an agreement, conspiracy) and maybe even be sufficient to prove an attempt (as it may be part of the overt act and with the intent required to prove an attempt to commit the crime exist).

    So making criminal threats can be argued and have been accepted by the court to be criminal acts and punishable. It serves no other purchase but to bring harm.

    This is why it was tremendously painful for me to see the PM being threatened but I commend him for not pressing the matter based on the circumstances. It was also painful for me to be threatened a few weeks ago on here by an ABLP person of significant authority for simply demanding more for the country. Their leaders can stay in their jobs but do more is all I am saying. That is not enough for you to solicit vicious crimes to be committed against me. Then being hurt did not even cross my mind for one second, as that is not part of any political discussion. Ever.
