PM Pledges Personal and Government Assistance to Family of Chantel Crump
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has pledged both his personal and government assistance to the grieving family of nine-year-old Chantel Crump, who was tragically murdered last week. Speaking during his weekly Browne and Browne Show on Saturday, Browne expressed his deep sorrow over the crime and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the family during this difficult time.
“I would have spoken to him [the father] and indicated to him that he will have my personal assistance as well as that of the government to assist with all expenses associated with the burial,” Browne stated during the broadcast.
The Prime Minister also addressed public concerns about the government’s response to the case, emphasizing that he had been in close contact with law enforcement since the incident occurred. He revealed that two suspects—a male and a female—are currently in custody and assured the public that the government is taking all necessary steps to ensure justice is served.
Browne condemned what he described as political opportunism by some who, he claimed, were using the tragedy to score political points. He called for national unity in the face of the devastating crime, urging the public to support the victim’s family rather than fueling division.
“There are those who want to claim that we do not care, but the fact is that we were actively working through the night on this case while others were asleep,” he said. “The government remains committed to ensuring that justice is served, and we will not be distracted by those who seek to politicize this tragedy.”

Should have done that when I provided the PM and AG with such crime prediction model that accurately predicted such kind of crimes will begin to occur but the ABLP refused and rejected my help.
How many times I wrote about officers visiting a school weekly to speak to students about safety, for police to learn of students’ safety need, and provide a police presence that also deters and confuses potential perpetrators? How many times it wrote about this on this platform?
How many times have I warned the ABLP, AG, PM, COP, etcetera of such vicious crimes are highly likely to occur and they ignore. From the killing of the MP (I mentioned months before security steps are needed for MPs, they ignored and MP Asot died months after).
I mentioned the Intelligenve and National Security Unit (INSU), they ignored, that would be able to make such prediction and properly direct police tactics and strategies, but they ignore.
I mentioned children will get into more trouble and will be victimize, they ignored. Now children are being killed.
I mentioned high assets institution will be burglarized with the intent of committing a larceny and robbery, they ignored, months after, they went to a security company that holds large bank cash. It is the bank next.
Why can’t you people listen instead of allowing ABLP incompetence to continue to cause vicious death and severe harms to the public that includes our children?

Where is the support for the family of MANNIE JAMES? Mannie was shot dead in front of his children while feeling from.police and soldiers. It is approaching two years and it seems like justice will neber be had. A coroner’s Inquest is yet to be commenced let alone completed. Any delay is squarely at the feet of the police. Have you through the minister of public safety inquired into this? What is the delay? Where is the support for the girlfriend and children of Mannie James. Please stop playing on the emotions of the people of this nation and do right by ALL. This family deserves all the support and slassistance possible. So to does the family of Mannie James. Do right by one and all.
Any assistance given to Antiguans in this case is because you have political aspirant Michael Joseph vying for that constituency, the assistance given by Gaston is trivial to the well arm guards police and military support that you are giving PLH so that white people can bathe in a white only beach area with buffer zone, white people assistance from ALP government dwarf Antiguans benifit. If those police was in Antigua to patrol, those missing persons including 9 year old Shantel would be alive, but no you have the police and military protecting white people in Barbuda PLH compound you created by holding barbudans at gun point. Bring the police and army back to Antigua to help patrol and save our people.
