The Prime Minister’s Office took a break from politics on Monday to celebrate local beekeeping, with a honey-tasting event hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Beekeepers’ Cooperative.
Staff sampled a range of locally produced honeys, each offering distinct flavours, while learning about the critical role bees play in the environment and the challenges they face.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Ambassador Max Hurst joined members of the Cooperative in highlighting the importance of supporting sustainable, homegrown industries.
The event doubled as a tribute to the work of local beekeepers and their contribution to the economy and ecosystem.

Other than tasting is what is Browne doing to help the production on the local honey?
