PM Browne to Address Alfa Nero Allegations in ABS Special Broadcast and Parliament
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced plans to present detailed documentation related to the Alfa Nero controversy during a two-hour televised special on ABS this Thursday evening, followed by a full debate in Parliament on Friday.
Speaking on his weekly Browne and Browne radio programme on Pointe FM, the Prime Minister said he will be joined by the Financial Secretary, Accountant General, and Port Manager to provide a comprehensive account of the events surrounding the sale of the superyacht, which has been the subject of ongoing public scrutiny and political debate.
“We will be presenting all the documentation once more,” Mr Browne stated, indicating that the ABS programme will serve as a platform for transparency and public accountability. He added that all financial agreements and supporting records will be made available to the public.
The Prime Minister also confirmed that the matter will be ventilated in Parliament the following day to ensure that “future generations know what the facts are.” He said the government will table documentation from both the Alfa Nero and Odebrecht matters, in an effort to counter what he described as misinformation and politically motivated attacks.
The Alfa Nero yacht, seized in Falmouth Harbour in 2022 under the authority of the Antigua and Barbuda government, has been at the centre of a legal and diplomatic dispute involving foreign claimants and allegations of impropriety.
Mr Browne maintains that the actions taken by his administration were lawful and in the interest of the state. He accused members of the opposition of collaborating with foreign actors to damage the country’s reputation, describing some of the claims being circulated as “treasonous.”
The ABS broadcast is expected to begin at 7:30 p.m. or shortly after the evening news, though the exact time is to be confirmed by the state broadcaster.

So why only now, when we wanted information we couldn’t get any, so it’s only because bigger fish overseas are after the facts, do no throw blame on the opposition it was their duty to ask questions on behalf of the people. Mr. Prime Minister, so you are going to be on ABS and then in parliament to give a detailed explanation re the Alpha Nero, Sir we are not the ones you have to convince, it’s the people overseas, leave the Opposition out of this, right now they are like piranhas canabalizing each other. Parliament should’ve had this documented “for the new generation to see” the first time these transactions were made how many years later, and “By force ” when these documents are about to be seize Antiguans will finally see them hope those book didn’t need repairing. All Antiguan are accountable for our country, if everyone sit back like puppets on strings,being insulted ,call names reminding them how poor they’re what other leaders in this hemisphere unjustly offended their people. IF THE SEIZURE BY THE ANTIGUA GOVERNMENT WAS DONE ON BEHALF OF THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, WHY WASN’T THE PROCEEDS OF THE SALE LESS EXPENSES DONATED TO THE AMERICANS OR TO UKRAINE?

He’s behaving like he’s preparing the Nation for a CATEGORY SEVEN HIRRICANE named Alfa_Nero which has being forecast to Antigua directly; therefore, his public persona as leader of the Nation must shine like a #spit_shine private boots, as he gets ready for his first drill inspection.
The Hurricane is still out to sea; and, when nature’s flora and fauna feels the energy of the impending impact, they act and behave to even becoming strange.

The PM is preparing his people for the possible of a direct hit from CATEGORY 7 – HURRICANE ALFA NERO.

I think when we start to read more,we will have a better understanding of what going on in Antigua and Barbuda,if we we to live politically,we are still going to always have problem with what the government are doing…
