PM Browne Mocks Lovell’s Political Comeback
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has dismissed Harold Lovell’s announcement of his intention to contest the All Saints West seat, ridiculing the former United Progressive Party (UPP) leader’s electoral record.
In a social media post, Browne referred to Lovell as “Loser Lovell (L Squared)” and claimed the 70-year-old was “back… for a tenth beating,” seeking to “better his personal best of nine electoral losses.”
The post, punctuated with a string of laughing emojis, comes after Lovell told supporters he was ready to return to active politics, pledging a campaign focused on community service and “leadership that puts people first.”
Lovell previously served as MP for St John’s City East and has twice led the UPP into general elections without securing victory.

Instead of beating why don’t you say stealing. ABLP has never beaten Lovell in a fair election yet, remember it was said that people were transferred from strong constituencies to sure up other constituencies and that is why you all win elections. Pure scampishness

We have never been involved in all these scandalous activities under UPP. We never heard of money-laundering, illegal land swapping, kidnapping and murder but all these seem to be endemic to this gang in leadership. Asot was involved in all kinds of impropriet, according to the lawless leader but we were only appraised of the encounters after Asot had cut him out of a particular deal at Lowry Bay. Real snitch. Where is Asot Michael now and why is he wherever he is? The truth will eventually be told.
Lovel never contributed anything to the community of Buckley’s where he lives. All he could say that he goes into a shop and buy a few items he is short on. Never lifted a finger in building a relationship with anyone in Buckley’s, worst yet All Saints West.
Barbra you were badly handled, badly introduced. Then the likes of Dave Lester Payne was in observer radio undermining your candidacy.
Anyhow young lady concentrate on your own personal development. If Gaston call you and offer you a decent job take it. You will get proper grooming into becoming a formidable leader in the future.
I say again that the members of UPP party including “Harold Lovel “sneakily undermined your candidacy. He was entertaining delegation/ planning all along behind your back. It is not what was said in that radio interview with Dr. Quinn , it was what was not said- reading between the lines.
Let’s take it as a given that Mr. Lovell never contributed to Buckleys development; it’s true too that ne never took anything from the community and by extension Antigua and Barbuda. Remember he and his colleagues never learned to thief. There are still principled folks in the state, who will never be willing to compromise their integrity for the dollar. The self-enrichment call seems to be attracting people who we once thought had morals.
Not 100% true since I’m from that community and I find Harold to be a decent person and the prime minister my friend knows that.
While we find time to degrade our indigenous Antiguans and Barbudans look at what the others who chose our country to be home building up each other
