PM Browne: Law Enforcement Fully Engaged in Search for 9-Year-Old

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has assured the public that the case of missing nine-year-old Chantel Crump is occupying the full attention of law enforcement and the government as efforts to locate her continue.

In a statement, Browne confirmed that intelligence received led to a police search on Wednesday night. He also revealed that the missing child was last seen in a specific community purchasing a snack.

“We pray for the safe return of this young girl, Chantel Crump. Kindly note that this issue is occupying the full attention of law enforcement and our government,” Browne stated.

He added that police are continuing their search today and are expected to host a press conference to update the public.

Meanwhile, community volunteers have been conducting independent search efforts, expressing concerns over what they say is a lack of immediate police response. Search teams covered multiple areas overnight, utilizing drones and flashlights in an attempt to locate the child.

Browne has called on all citizens and residents to assist with any information that may lead to Chantel’s safe return.

Crump was reportedly last seen wearing her Five Islands Primary School uniform and was said to have entered a silver Honda driven by a female.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the police or call 773-8033.

  1. This type of nonsense is way out of control anyone found responsible must suffer the full consequence time we put a stop this, where is our love for our fellow man

  2. We need to act fast cuz it to much right now how people so wicked we need harsher punishment maybe even death penalty for some of these crimes

  3. This is really getting out of hand, now it’s a child being targeted. I pray she is found immediately and safely. Instead of parents purchasing fette tickets you all need to start placing apple tags in your children’s back packs and sewing them in uniforms, because if more children end up missing like how adults are ending up missing then it will be a big devastation to this country.

  4. Mr PM if you really want to help pass a law that no vehicle in Antigua and Barbuda can have tinted front windows or let the police regulate the tint on vehicles because it is not done. I think the law allows a certain % on windows but it is not enforced. You can expect people to say what they can’t see
