Peyton Knight has been officially sworn in as the Chairman of Antigua and Barbuda’s Public Service Commission during a ceremony held at Government House.
His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, the Governor General, presided over the event, which also saw Tracy Whity-Browne assume her new role as a member of the Commission.
Mr. Knight, an experienced attorney and former public servant, was praised for his commitment to public service and his deep understanding of governance.

The Public Service Commission, established under the Constitution of Antigua and Barbuda, oversees critical matters such as the appointment, discipline, and removal of public officers.
Sir Rodney urged the new leadership to address delays in disciplinary hearings, emphasizing the importance of timeliness in maintaining public trust.
“This Commission shapes the integrity of our public institutions,” Sir Rodney remarked.
“I am confident that under Mr. Knight’s leadership, and with the contributions of Mrs. Whity-Browne and the rest of the team, we will see significant progress.”
