Dear friends and supporters,
I want to take a moment to share some important news with you. This year, I have decided not to enter the Soca Monarch Competition. Instead, I will only be participating in the Calypso Monarch with my humorous bacchanal kaiso track titled “Miss Coochy.”
This decision was not easy, but it’s necessary due to some personal challenges and recent responsibilities, I’m currently attending to.
Nevertheless, I remain dedicated to promoting our culture, carnival, and all related activities. I apologize if this news disappoints any of my supporters, but I assure you that there are many exciting days ahead. I have upcoming tracks and a book that I hope will make a significant impact on all of you.
Please stay tuned for the projects and activities planned for this year.
The “Work Fu Um” project is expanding from an empowerment initiative into a book, a soca song, a summer camp, a youth conference, and culminating in the “Work Fu Um” back-to-school jam, all happening in August. Your ongoing support means the world to me, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
