PDV Caribe has resumed distributing $100 utility voucher booklets to pensioners at the Multipurpose Cultural Centre, part of a support scheme running since 2007.
Pensioners with surnames I–M collected vouchers today, with those N–S scheduled for Thursday and T–Z on Friday. An additional session will be held on Saturday, 30 August, from 09:00 to 13:00 for those who miss their assigned day.
General Manager Jellette Ralph urged beneficiaries to attend on the correct day to ensure smooth distribution. The programme, which began issuing booklets in 2008, helps seniors manage electricity costs.

$100 is helpful, but electricity costs are rising. Could it be increased?
Pensioners deserve all the support they can get. This initiative shows that even a little help goes a long way.
I had the same thought. But the initiative is appreciated
