A mother is blaming potholes for an accident yesterday which caused a passenger bus to slam into a utility pole seriously injuring a passenger.
The elderly man received injuries to his back and neck and was treated in the hospital for his injuries while other passengers reported bruises and scratches.
But the woman whose son was in the front seat escaped injury after he braced for impact.
Delroy’s bus was traveling in the Crab Hill area near OJ’s when he swerved to avoid a pothole. But the driver lost control of the vehicle, slamming instead into a utility pole.
“It’s all because of this pothole crap,” the woman said.
“Someone should be out there, more vigilant and if anything, put up a sign saying pothole ahead. So, the person can know to slow down and be more careful,” she added.
The mother says police officers reporting accidents should not only give the number of crashes but tell people the cause.
“It’s not always the driver, the potholes need to fix,” she insisted.
“When you get hurt and you can’t work who you go sue?

Get the right info on what really happens cause it wasn’t the bus alone in the accident.
Its the speed .. Fuck pothole cause u can slowly drive or swerve away from them an nun happen.. They need to stop speeding on Antigua small rd its causing too many accident.. Low am slow my motto an I’m quite comfortable driving my low car an avoiding potholes everyday with no accident …

U all putting it like if its was the bus alone a taxi van causes the dam accident and u all making it looks like it’s the bus driver.
You can’t apportion blame to road conditions. Drivers should drive according to the conditions they see at the time, not on whether they know if there is a pothole or otherwise. Speeding is the problem and bus drivers are the worst
