Parham resident Claudette Willock has moved into her newly rebuilt home, nearly two years after a fire destroyed her house in January 2023.
The reconstruction was funded through the HAPI Programme and carried out by the Social Protection Board in collaboration with the Ministry of Social and Urban Development.
St Peter MP Rawdon Turner, who pledged to help after the fire, said he was pleased to see the project completed, adding that it reflected “true representation” and effective government partnership.

Willock expressed deep gratitude to everyone involved, calling the moment “a blessing and a promise kept.”
A breadfruit tree was planted in her yard to mark the occasion, symbolising renewal and community strength.
