Pares Secondary Teachers Protest Over Safety Concerns as Restoration Efforts Begin

3

Teachers at Pares Secondary staged their third sit-in on Thursday, protesting unresolved issues including an unfinished perimeter fence and a bat infestation that threaten the safety of over 100 students. The Ministry of Education responded by mobilizing overnight efforts to address the concerns.

Principal Letitia Lawrence reported stable student attendance despite the industrial action. Progress has been made, with most dirt and debris cleared, though some remain. Security upgrades are underway, including fortifying the main gate, with additional gates planned. Bat control and ground maintenance efforts are ongoing, aiming to complete the restoration of the 50-year-old facility within two weeks.

  1. Clearly a political stunt that bears the STENCHof the former joker spade teachers’ union incompetent boss aligned to the desperate UPP and an aspirant to their UPP gang of MPs, along with that of their bound-to-lose Gunsmoke contender for the St.Peter Constituency, one whose sudden interest in the progress and well-being of the Pares Secondary School is most laughable.
laughable. Let these UPP buffoons demonstrate their “love” for the children of the constituency by depriving them of their education until they get their perimeter FENCE repaired/replaced. That’s all the UPP is good at – Mash-up, disrupt, destroy, – all for personal gain. SMH

  2. WHAT THE HELL…? …TEACHERS SIT IN…?

This graphic appears not to have supported the headline: ‘…TEACHERS’ SIT-IN’ [Paragraph 1].

    WHY?

One week into teaching, male or female, collectively or singly, ‘NOT’ a darn ‘…TEACHER’ can be seen ‘…SITTING IN ON PROTESTATION.’

Not even with a ‘…TEXTBOOK’ to even suggest ‘…Advanced Prep,’ to start promptly after their: (i) ‘…CONCERNS: and (ii) …INTERESTS,’ would have given the appearance that the issues have been ‘…SATISFACTORILY ADDRESSED.’

    NOTWITHSTANDING:

    (a) ‘…TREAT’ the darn ‘…TEACHERS RIGHT:

    (b) …CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CONDUCIVE TO:

    (i) …TEACHING: and

(ii) …LEARNING.’ and since ‘…NO DULL JACK AND JILL:’

    (iii) …PLAYING TOO.’

    ***

    CAUTION:

DON’T SEND THEM UP NO DARN HILL TO ‘…FETCH NO WATER, THOUGH.’

    ***

WHAT THE HELL…? ‘…TALK GOOD OF TEACHERS.’

TOP OF THE MORNING TO ‘…ALL TEACHERS,’ INCLUDING ‘…UWI LECTURERS.’
