Over half a million dollars worth of cannabis seized at V.C. Bird International Airport

If we notice every time weed so called appended and we hear an investigation is ongoing, and after that we hear nothing, we what to know who’s weed and why every time I comes through the airport we hear nothing further z/.but on the flip side if that was the sea port we would done hear and see someone is in custody. 6. There must be a major bust now and then for declaration purposes……..that’s part of the process.
   Then the big weed will pass like a stripper from Wendys on a Sunday night behind an old abandoned building behind popeshead street under a mango tree behind somebody’s fence in the bushes straight in Farmer Brown’s back yard.

7. @Big Back, i do not believe it belongs to the PM or AG. When they ship anything, no one can look at or smell or interfere with anything they ship. So, I am confident it is not theirs.

   They are too powerful. They can walk in and out the airport, as they feel, and staff, the Jamaicans that are inspecting you at the airport would bow.

   So the PM, AG and MP for foreign affairs are not guilty here. It is not their drugs.

8. That’s a lot of drugs that would’ve gone to our streets and possibly to our precious youths. I commend the officers behind this major drug bust.

9. Where are these drugs going to? I refuse to believe that the police is discarding these drugs the way they should be discarded! They keep them and return a majority to their high ends drug dealers. Drug dealers aren’t only outside they are also inside the force

10. Our officers has been doing an awesome job lately. Returning our sweet little Antigua to a peaceful and drug free island. Keep up the good works officers and one day we will be 100% clean

13. Pity that this haul in excess of half a million dollars cannot be put to good use to benefit the needy. What has become of the much touted cannabis-to-medicine industry that seemed so promising a few months ago? Burning the illicit cargo is just counterproductive and nonsensical!

14. One thing about Antigua police, they are very good at intercepting narcotic at the airport and seaport, but very poor in finding out who the drugs belongs too.

    In real countries, real police allow the culprit to collect the contraband or put a tracking device in it then arrest them when they take it away. I don’t believe the police in Antigua, really want to catch the importers of drugs into the country.
