
On Friday January 3rd, sixty-two (62) women from across the island participated in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association, ABFA Women’s League Combine at the Antigua Recreation Grounds.
Female players from around the island with special football skills had the opportunity to participate to try out in front of Managers and Coaches of female teams.
The ABFA would like to thank all the women who participated in the exciting event, which showcased exceptional football talent.
Following the try out, selections will be made and drafted lists will be sent to the respective managers and coaches. Once acceptance is confirmed, an announcement will be made. ABFA Women’s League begins on Friday, Jan 31st, 2020.

The local clubs and ABFA by extension need to look at our female footballers seriously…… A proper program is needed for them…… The girls lack skill, strength, strategy and the know how to kick a ball properly. Girls from other regions play like a man but our girls are playing like they are beginning to learn the game,…..
